The model store, their Schererville location proved up for the challenge and needed a facelift after 20 years. Mixdesign’s task was to create a modern competitive design that maintained the traditional diner feel that is schoops legacy, but bring in simplicity and sleekness that put them in the competitive market with up and coming burger chains which are popping up. This remodel design included custom designed soda bubble wall covering, custom framed art design and product up-sell custom wall covering design as well. Part of the rebrand assignment was to maintain the red and black iconic color palette, and establish a design that complimented the booths and furnishings which some locations may not need to replace. This allowed for a budget friendly remodel or partial remodel for franchisees that wanted to modify the design without a bank breaking overhaul. The Schererville location remodel proved to be a success. Schoops regulars were pleased with the results and business remodel buzz and overhaul increased 3rd and 4th quarter sales.
